Okay, I want to stress that I am only posting this because I have had several people encourage me to do so. They would help me out, but their funding is limited. As I’ve mentioned, my documentary will premiere in LA on September 25th (aka: my birthday). I’ve got a place to stay if I go, I’m currently in Illinois, but I have no funding for the plane ticket. The last time I checked they were running about $300-400. When I graduated in May, I was forced to lose my job because of it being classified as a work-study position. This also meant I was not eligible for unemployment. Ever since then I’ve been looking for a job in my field, but one has not come along. This means that money for a round trip ticket to LA won’t come along in time. When I mentioned this to some friends, they asked if I had a paypal account. I do, so they said to set it up to take donations. After much reluctance at the idea of what is essentially cyber-begging, I did. I am now set up to take donations and am asking if anyone would be able to help me get to my own premiere. Again, I don’t like asking for this sort of help, especially at a time when thousands of people have homes underwater, but time is running out. If you can help, please click the paypal link below.
